can this be compared to anything comming out of Wind Of The Black Mountains? Or is there absolutely no trace of death metal present?

I would say there is no trace of death metal but I haven't had a chance to listen to the entire CD yet.

I suppose you'll like any of the bands mentioned in the review; also try the previous Aura Noir releases, specially Black Thrash Attack; you should also check out Carpathian Forest, it's Black Metal meets Rock and Roll with a very punkish attitude; great music to get drunk.

Funeral Thrash features vocals by Nattefrost.
Amd there's a song that features lyrics written by Dirge Rep.

If you guys like this band I suggest you check out Sauron from Michigan. Their album "Thrash Assault" would be right up your alley. Fast and heavy like Kreator and Sodom with some Agent Steel leads and a good dose of black metal thrown in as well.

Speaking of which, are they releasing anything new soon?

Oh, and this album completely rules. Aura Noir can do no wrong. Good review. 85/100.
