Solid album indeed.
A welcomed return to form for a band I used to love but got disappointed with after Hear in the Now Frontier.
80/100 for me.

"At 30,000 Ft" is an awesome song, but the rest of the album is a bit flat for me, which is sad since I've like most of their post-80s output. And "Unafraid" is just atrocious.

Was quite disappointed with the single, but I like the Queensryche I have so will be checking this out properly.

Me being one that hated their post Empire stuff this one seems to be the one to check out.

Just hope I'm not disappointed like I was with OMII.

Having a lot of people in the military, I thought the concept is great and is nicely executed. I just wish some of the songs were stronger. Unafraid is indeed terrible but some of the stuff on here like "At 30 000 ft" and "Home Again" are great melodic numbers.

Then again, I shouldn't be the one to judge this band, as I never got anything out of OM and I haven't listened to that much of the band to begin with. But I do like this album. Except for a few lacking songs, it's a good album.

I was hoping for more but this didn’t do it for me, at times there are glimpses of the band I used to like, anyway I am glad others are enjoying it. Also if you want some good prog metal check out a French band called Anthropia.

Yeah this is not the metal opera Operation: Mindcrime, but that was 21 years ago, now it's a different time and the guys have the right to sound more modern, I like this album and the voice of Geoff sounds great and with power.

I've found it to be a great strong effort with incredibly intriguing stories to be heard. This is one of my favorites this year. :dio:
