Currently playing: System Shock 2, Deus Ex, Oblivion.

Former more than the latter two.

Restarted Bioshock last night, after my hard drive crash lost the save games. Still excellent.

Actually, I'd really like to buy some Dreamcast games. Right now, Resident Evil: Code Veronica and Jet Grind Radio are on my hit list Any other suggestions?

BTW, I already own Soulcalibur and Crazy Taxi.

Grandia 2 and Skies of Arcadia were my favorite Dreamcast games back in the day.

Grandia 1 is another game I need to play someday.

bioshock is gay

the only way it's hard is if you play on Hard with the vita-chambers turned off, and even then it's easier than system shock 2 on medium. The enemy AI is terrible and the way they ramp the enemies up to be fucking bullet-sinks by the midpoint to try and up the challenge is laughable. Yes, it makes -perfect- sense that when I telekinetically hit someone in the face with a huge explosive container they should be able to get up with only half their health gone.

Bioshock is AMAZING the first two times you play it if you've never played system shock 2 before, which is really the exact same thing except with a better story, better atmosphere, and more legitimately challenging gameplay.

sorry if I'm ranting but I got pissed off when I bought bioshock and beat it twice in like six hours; great waste of $50.

All very well people saying this, but fighting the Big Daddies is still pretty fucking hard whatever level you play on; without vita-chambers it'd be impossible. Knowing you only have so much EVE to play with gives a real sense of strategy.

As for SS2, I'd love to be able to play it if it wasn't such an old, buggy game that I'd have to format my pc and install Windows 98 in order for it to work without crashing. Even then, Deus Ex was a million times better in terms of atmosphere...

It's pretty easy to play SS2 and SS2 is far scarier and more intelligently designed than Deus Ex. Not saying Deus Ex is bad, it's pretty much the best game released this decade, but SS2 is just a tiny bit better. It's also substantially more difficult.

Big Daddies? Um, electric buckshot and electric trap crossbow bolts. If you set up a line of six then not even the best bouncers will be fine after plowing straight through all of em.

Meh. I gave SS2 my best, and modern technology defeated it and me. You've played Deus Ex on the hardest setting?

And I'll try your method, but it's hardly that easy.

Yes it is that easy. You just set up a big bolt pathway, shoot a bouncer from the other end, and he dies as soon as he gets through.

Hell, even with rosies it's easy enough to kill them off with just grenades and shooting their grenades as soon as they toss em, or with electric buckshot, or by alternating between exploding buckshot and electroshock.

Yeah, Deus Ex on Realistic was more tedious than difficult.

Well, like I said, I'll try it, but until they remake SS2 or at least release something that makes machines like mine run it stably, I'll stick to Bioshock.

Bioshock 2 you play as the original Big Daddy, and now you fight Big Sisters if you mess with little sisters. You can also breath under water now.

You can fly in Assassins Creed 2.

More DLC coming for Fable 2.

New Fallout 3 DLC coming out in May.

The UFC Undisputed 2009 demo ain't too bad. But Shogun sucks.

Started playing Fallout 3 again a week ago, I'm nearly at the end of the main quest now and am looking for more side quests.

Decided to finish the main quest. I don't get what people's beef with the ending is, I thought it was fantastic.

There's talk of a Fallout movie or television series, by the way. Should be interesting.

Have any of you played Quake Live yet? If not, I'd suggest downloading the beta. It's awesome.

Broken Steel, the DLC pack coming out in a couple of weeks, will remove the ending and up the level cap to 30. Should be great fun.

Bought Jet Grind Radio and Resident Evil Code: Veronica for the Dreamcast. Looking forward to playing them. Especially JGR (one of the main reasons I bought a DC in the first place).

Awesome.

I'm also playing a little game called Stranded II. You're stuck on a deserted island and you have to find food, water and shelter. You can use basically anything to create new tools and items to help you survive each day. You can create stuff like hammers, spears, fishing poles and build tents, huts and boats. A great experience when played for the first time. But since most of the appeal of this game lies in exploration there isn't a lot of replayability.

Aye, indeed a wonderful game, but I'm so bored with it after two years of near-constant playing.

Silent Hill : Homecoming

Good:
-the controls are better as in you no longer walk in tank-like movements (RE5 im looking at you)
- the music was great as always
-the monsters are actually quite good although some do feel a bit recycled
-the boss fights were quite good,
-combat was more tight than on previous installments.

Bad:
-Not so good graphics
-Character animations are horrible and i do mean horrible especially the face expressions
-although the combat and controls are more tight the camera fucking sucks making combat a painfull experience
-story is very weak with a plot twist that you could see since the begining of the game and that it feels copied from SH2
-characters are weak also you dont really feel the motivation of the lead character in advancing through the story and the love interest feels forced and lame.
-puzzles are lame and easy, they should really go back to the puzzle style of SH3 with hard and normal difficulty settings for both gameplay and puzzles.
-Very short game with little to no replay value, sure it has multiple endings and two bonus weapons but the endings like the story are weak and the weapons are not that interesting, oh yeah there is also new skins for your character but unless you get to play with a naked Megan Fox i'll say no thanks.
