Now this album is fucking great. Symptom Of The Universe is indeed a classic.

...I should probably get more Sabbath sometime...

This in my opinion is the best of the Ozzy/Sabbath albums. Simply fucking fantastic.

The last of the great Sabbath albums.
A well deserved spot in the Classics section, thank you.

I agree...last great Sabbath album with Ozzy, before the bands musical direction started to change somewhat.

I like this album and agree with the CLASSIC status. But it is far from the best of the Ozzy Sabbath IMO. Still awaesome though. Some truely killer tunes to be found here.

I think this album, Master Of reallity and Sabbath Bloody Sabbath are the best Ozzy Sabbath.

Awesome album, probably my favorite with Ozzy. This and SBS are the albums from the Ozzy era I go back to most often.

My favourites are Black Sabbath and Volume 4 with Master of Reality and Paranoid being close seconds.

This album is for the true Sabbath fans. It shows what they were capable of. An amazing listen. It was long songs. I see a Zepp influence which no one seems to mention.
They never had quite the groove of Zep. They were much more minor key. Supertzar is prophetic. SX anyone.

The Writ, WTF. That pusling synth line then this rock stuff, Soundgarden like. It develops. This is what Soundgarden based there whole idea on. It just is. Man what a song.

I mentioned it in the review of the self-titled, where it is most prevalent in my opinion. On Master of Reality and beyond, I think they had comfortably moved away from Zep territory, in part because of the drop tuning.

I don't think it was so much a Zepp influence as it was a sign of the times.

True. There were a bevy of "heavy blues" bands in those days from what I read. If you play that style, you're bound to sound like Zeppelin.

Only reason we say "sound like Zepp" is because they became the most popular of them all...

A damn fine album. Some of their greatest songs are on this one.

I don't think its their best, but I think its certainly Ozzy's best vocal performance.
