i wasn't aware of that. listened to one of their actual songs now and it was less confusing and just boring.

imo rock and related music is so simple and shallow that judging it on pretty much any grounds, ie what the musicians look like, is pretty accurate.

So the more metal they look, the better their music is? Well Tim Yeung had an emo hairdo once but he's metal as fuck. Matt Heafy's got long(er) hair now but Trivium are far from (brutal)metal.

Worst albums...hmmmm..

1. Metallica- St Anger
2. Anything by Def Leppard in the last 10 years.
3. Blackwych- Out of Control (an Irish grime metal band that were truly awful but cover art was actually pretty cool and made me buy it..i was only 18..lol)

St Anger is nowhere near the worst album ever, and that people say it is goes to show how little they understand what good music is.

Not that St Anger is good, but tinny drums and lack of solos do not a bad album make. Besides, it's such a stock answer...

I agree with this... St Anger sucks, but damn, it's boring to hear the threadbare citations that it is the worst album ever every time a thread like this pops up.

How about Plutonian Herds? That's worst than St. Anger, from the one song I have heard.

Hahaha, you should. Just listening to that one song temporarily lowered my IQ to about room temperature.

It's totally epic lolz. It's like, the most ridiculously primitive thing ever.

Actually, if I were to answer this question to the best of my ability, I'd probably pick Noodles' top 10 best albums of all time

It's nearly impossible to quantify the actual 'worst' albums that have been produced in the last ten years, and St. Anger definitely doesn't belong on that list regardless.

I didn't like that Totally Fucking Gay album I listened to for that one review, though. I remember a lot of soundless keyboards and songs about dick.

To be honest, I made that "list" because I can't really make an effective 10 Worst Hard Rock/Metal Albums list. The reason why is because I like almost all the albums I own. I'll typically read reviews for an album before even listening to it. And I'll usually listen to it at least once on a site like Rhapsody or Myspace before actually buying it. Thus, it'd be impossible for me to make a Ten Worst Rock/Metal Albums list without doing a little bandwagon jumping (listing notoriously bad albums that I've never actually listened to before).

On the topic of St. Anger, it was mediocre at best. Invisible Kid was a cool song (despite that "Oooooooooooh, what a good boy you are" part). As was The Unnamed Feeling, even though its opening riff sounds like it was directly ripped from Sepultura's We Who Are Not As Others. I also kind of liked Frantic (except for that stupid "keep searching" part). The rest, however, was pretty unremarkable IMO.

Okay, let's get back on topic, shall we?

P.S. Why all the Alestorm hate? I actually thought they were quite original when I heard them!

It would be more interesting to make a list of albums you think suck but have agood reputation.
