To me, it's kind of implied that the thread is asking about up-and-coming bands rather than ancients who are still putting out solid stuff--not that there's not a place for the vets, but you know. I guess it doesn't specifically say that though so whatev.

I still stick to Mastodon and PTH :dio:

I've only heard ape uprising once and i must admit that i thought it was excellent, but do you really think its better than Traveller or Down Among The Dead Men?

I'll need to listen to it more, but I think that over time I'll end up liking it just as much.

True, but I'd be sad if the band I thought was currently making the best music wasn't at their peak.
