what do you get when you cross crossover, breakdowns, Tim Lambesis from As I lay dying, and Arnold Schwarzenneger improv?

Austrian Death Machine?

Tonight, I'm finally going to watch Fargo. I've been meaning to see that movie for a long time but never really got around to it until now.

I Served the King of England - Lots of boobs. I liked how it portrayed Jan's ignorant perspective of the German occupation.

Choke. Pretty good if you liked the book. Without the book, it would seem goofy and incomplete. Having read the book it seemed like only a decent homage to the novel.

I was very dissapointed with the book, so I'll probably skip this one.

Faster, Pussycat! Kill! Kill!
I have a mild fetish for the first half of the 60s... wierd, I know.

Ladies and gentlemen, welcome to violence, the word and the act. While violence cloaks itself in a plethora of disguises, its favorite mantle still remains... sex. Violence devours all it touches, its voracious appetite rarely fulfilled. Yet violence doesn't only destroy, it creates and molds as well. Let's examine closely then this dangerously evil creation, this new breed encased and contained within the supple skin of woman. The softness is there, the unmistakable smell of female, the surface shiny and silken, the body yielding yet wanton. But a word of caution: handle with care and don't drop your guard. This rapacious new breed prowls both alone and in packs, operating at any level, any time, anywhere, and with anybody. Who are they? One might be your secretary, your doctor's receptionist... or a dancer in a go-go club!

I hadn't read the book when I saw that. It felt ok until the Hollywood-esque Rom-Com bollocks ending.

Transporter 3 - probably the worst in the series, even though Jason S. lands a car on a train and there's an old black guy who was clearly supposed to look like Morgan Freeman.

Crimson Tide - pure entertainment action. Great acting, and I love how you never really know who's right or wrong. Both Washington and Hackman get the job done here. Bruckheimer is the master of simple, yet effective action films. Kudos to the amazing soundtrack too.

Those action films are still awesome. Yeah, not realistic, yeah made for people to tingle their balls and not their brains (oops, sorry that's your words :D ), and maybe he uses the same formula. But they still rule.

Same old song. You'll be telling me Armageddon is better than Die Hard, next, you poor misguided child.

No, I'm not telling you that, 'cause I haven't seen it yet. :lame: And I don't see how I'm misguided. I like the films. But I like both worlds too. The more complex ones and the more straight forward ones. And when I think of it, I'll assume that Armageddon is better (even though I dig Bruce Willis).

No, really. I haven't. Planning on picking up that box set with all four of them.
