Taken was a massive disappointment, personally speaking. Not nearly enough old-school silliness, and what, two set-pieces? Watch some old Arnie and see how it's done.

Matrix: Remember, Sully, when I promised to kill you last?
Sully: That's right, Matrix. You did.
Matrix: I lied.

:dio:

And he let him go. What a guy.

Old Schwarzie's cool because unlike that piece of wood Stallone, he knows it's a joke, and has fun with the whole thing.

Ha, yes. Either that or he didn't speak enough English to understand and it's all just bad acting. I think you're right, though.

You seen Hercules In New York?

Gold.

I haven't, actually. Will have to get onto that.

Taken was awesome. Liam Neeson was a total badass, it was simple, the action was well done, it wasn't too long, and the concept gave the story emotion.
+1. They showed just enough struggling on Neeson's part to show how much he cared for his daughter and when the shit hit the fan, he was finally able to do something for her. Mind you that Neeson has the least intimidating voice ever but other than that the movie was awesome. Much better fight scenes than the old Schwarzenegger flicks.

Love the soundtrack. "Take this sinking boat and point it home..."

We watched 'Doubt' which was incredible and 'The Wrestler'. I thought Rourke's performance in 'The Wrestler' was awesome. Great comeback for him.

I bought the 1930s version a few weeks ago. Have yet to watch it though.

The sound quality is really bad, so it's hard to understand what people are saying most of the time.

Yojimbo - Funnier than I anticipated. So many great lines in this, though. And I definitely need to re-watch A Fist-Full of Dollars now.

We've rented 'The Reader' and 'Taken' this weekend.

I always liked For A Few Dollars More better, somehow.
Though Fistful of Dollars is a damned good movie, too.

Unintentionally hilarious performance from Arnold Strong.

Happy-Go-Lucky - Very good!! Poppy's balance of adorable and annoying is perfect, and the guy playing the driving instructor was awesome. Some parts reminded me of the British office or smth.
