The so-called King of Pop is declared dead afer he suffered a heart-attack earlier today..

Just read it in a Norwegian newspaper.

According to the BBC he's not strictly dead... although it doesn't look good.

I've heard that he died.

He had some great songs. "Beat It" and "Smooth Criminal" are awesome.

I think it's been pretty well confirmed. I saw it on CNBC just 45 minutes ago.

A talented dancer and even more talented showman. He will definitely be missed.

This confirms it. I wasn't the biggest MJ fan but whether you liked the guy or not no one and I repeat NO ONE or no band can touch Thriller the greatest pop album of all time.

This is quite strange, he was going bankrupt, selling properties, and now he's dead... this smells really bad. I can't say I'm going to miss him, but some of his music was entertaining. May he r.i.p. if he's really dead.

Not to be disrespectful or anything, but the world just got a little safer for children, boys in particular, everywhere.

I'm divided. He made some classics that anybody can enjoy, but yeah, he was a pedophile for sure. I don't wish death upon anybody, so I guess I'm more upset for the artist in him. Shame.

He'll be remembered for his music/dance/performance and contributions to be music scene rather than the charges brought against him. It sucks that he lived his entire life under the relentless eye of the media, though.

The Thriller is in the chiller.

So how will the media treat him now? When he was alive he was a freak that was relentlessly hounded by the media mob with torches and pitchforks. Now that he's dead, they are treating him like a legend, as though it's some collective guilt trip. :lame:

How strong are the paedofilia charges against him? I'm inclined to believe that he was just damaged by his own childhood.
