I got an e-mail from dis-order records and in the new release section had Sodom in July. I clicked on the link, but the site is down. I tried to google it, but no luck.

Anybody know anything?

I really really don't know why nobody is talking of this fuckin' piece of art, it when totally under my radar. I finished the first spin and I'm in awe, Tamás Kátai did it again, after 5 years. This is going to end really high in my top ten of 2009...

I've no idea what it is. Explain. Or I guess I'll just go DL it.

Describing Thy Catafalque music is quite difficult. It's a mix of extreme metal, Eastern Europe folk and crazy electronics, with some ambient passages. It's very "artsy", like some people like to say in this forum. DL before you buy it, this music isn't for everyone.

I guess it's in the same vein can be an appropriate description. Meaning it is unique and totally awesome.

I think it's definitely a cool album. I only got through about 5 tracks last night before I passed out, but I really liked it a lot. Never heard of these guys before, but they definitely have their own thing going.

My only complaint was the electronica music went on for about 5 minutes too long on the second track ( I mean 10 plus minutes of that in total? What for? ) and then I can't remember which track it was, but it was a shorter song that was entirely eletronica sounding as well.

Outside of that, it's freakin' sweet.

The Meads Of Asphodel are rereleasing some old demo stuff, and they have a new album due soon too. Oh, and if Akercocke keep to schedule they'll have a new one out this year too, although word from that camp is pretty quiet... they're about a year late with their live DVD, which isn't good.

Phew. I thought you'd stolen a lead on me there, in regard to their new studio album.
