I was really looking forward to this release but after a few listens it is quite forgettable. There are very few thrash moments for me. If anything, Artillery have taken more of a power metal approach. The new vocalist is ok. I saw the new live version of Terror Squad on their MySpace page and it was actually quite good. Still, I prefer the original vocalist and Terror Squad will always be their pinnacle in my opinion.

I see your point with the power metal thing, but I don't think it's that obvious really, and there are definitely some great thrash moments here. For me at least. Nothing tops their period with Flemming

I'll have to try listening to it a few more times. I really was looking for something that would stick out a bit more for me.

Yeah, it took a fair bit of spins to grow on me, as i didn't really notice much. But when taking the time to get into the music, and listen closely to the riffs, I can't help but put on a smile. It's pretty melodic, but still thrash imo.

Hmm.. Artillery have always been a very melodic band, but I hope this album doesn't tip too much over into power metal; but hey, I'll take well done power metal over shitty thrash any day (hence, Megadeth's Youthanasia is much better than their past two albums). Can't wait to listen to this.

Good review Thomas, BACK was a killer album so im very excited to hear this even if Flemming Rønsdorf isnt on the band anymore, about this sounding more like power metal i'd have to hear it first but that doesnt sound too bad, Power Metal and thrash is a good combination, hell i'd rather listen to a Power thrash album than a retro-thrash one.

This album kicks ass, good thing I checked it out. It does sound like a more aggressive power metal band, maybe that's why I liked it so much. The review and score are spot on.
