The Hangover.. Good god. Crazy film, but fucking hilarious. Haven't laughed that much during a movie in a long time

Yeah, I was gonna say... how in the hell is the Wrestler like Remember the Titans?

What I meant was that, for me, it had a late-90's feel to it. Perhaps because wrestling was all the rage in 1998/1999.

I just saw The Wrestler as well. Pretty damn good...the wrestling scenes are difficult to watch. I think Raging Bull is an apt comparison, although I wouldn't say The Wrestler is quite as good as that classic.

Very funny with a nice dramatic twist. Great performance from Colin Farrell. 8/10

Brilliant film. Great performances from the three main actors, nice to see Brendan Gleeson getting to do more than run about in a wig and fake beard for a change.

Transformers 2. Now that the endorphins have worn off after seeing Megan Fox's tight ass and awesome robots kicking each other to bits, I am now thinking that was the biggest pile of shit I've seen in a long while.

There was no story, gaping plot holes (why didn't the Fallen just choose a different sun if they're that desperate? Or put the fucking sun-destroying gun on Mars), huge continuity errors (one minute Fox and some other lame character are running down a hill, the next thing they are in Bumblebee, one minute they're in Egypt, then Jordan, then magically in Egypt again), pointless gags that made no sense (why did the Sector 7 guy rip off his pants?), hilarious Americanisation (can't have a Transformers fight without the military, able to put huge US forces in Egypt with asking, the Jordanians send two Blackhawk choppers as their support, which quickly get blown up).

Anyways, it's worth it to see a hot Decepticon (played by dumber than dumb Australian actress Isabell Lucas) extend a steel cable out of its ass. Pretty much sums up the movie, really.

My wife and I took our nine year old to see this yesterday afternoon and I have to agree with you on all the points you've made here. We were so pissed after watching it. The movie had no plot, zero cohesiveness, and was just really a vehicle for slow-motion explosions. Why did it ever take Sam an hour and fifteen minutes of screen time to go run three miles in the desert sand is beyond me. 'The Fallen' I liken to Darth Maul. 7 minutes of screen time and killed within two minutes at the very end. This movie is awful. Michael Bay found a way to destroy a promising franchise.

The three Underworld movies sucks big time. It's exactly the kind of movies I avoid.

I've always been partial to vampire lore in literature and film. I've liked the twist that the Underworld franchise has spun into the genre. I watched 'Rise of the Lycans' last night and I felt that the back-story surrounding Lucian, Victor, Sonja, and Raze was well done.

Jesus, and I thought most of that stuff about the first one! No way in hell I'll be going to see this one.

Put down my childhood, Bay, just put it down.

I've only seen the first Transformers, and this is what they should've named it instead:

SHIA LABEOUF
featuring: the transformers

Transformers 1 was pretty shitty. Hearing that 2 is even worse has just made me give people smug grins.

Just finished Hunger. Wow. I'll let Ebert have his say:

But I give it 4* at least, extraordinarily powerful film.

Revenge of the Nerd IV: Nerds in Love.

It's on tv and I'm extremely hungover. The movie really isn't helping.

omg she has a wolf shirt on!

Gran Torino - Clint Eastwood went a little over the top with the raspy voice at times but otherwise he played the flawed-but-still-incredibly-badass badass perfectly.

The "Get off my lawn..." bit in the trailer would make it impossible for me to take this seriously.

Oh dude "get off my lawn" is only the tip of the iceberg. It's so great.

The soundtrack often deprived the movie of tension, but that's okay because it was awesome. Where I should have been scared, instead I was grooving along to Goblin. Or is it Goblins? I've seen it both ways.

Yarr, I wanted to see that but couldn't get around to it.

On DVD now?

It is over here, not sure what the distribution over there is like...
