I'd give it a 70. I kind of liked it, liked the first one more though.

You're right. This band sucks balls. I wouldn't buy this album if someone had forced a gun to my head. I've heard a couple of songs like "Destruction Of A Person" and "Dress Like A Target", and I couldn't even sit through half of them, even if I wanted to.

To me, a 40 is far too generous. I'd say more of a 25. I don't know why everyone likes this, it makes me want to bite my hands off.

I just woke up about an hour ago from a four-hour nap, during which I actually dreamed about Superjoint Ritual being bad  I can't remember what happened exactly, but I remember someone asking me if I'd heard of them.

Aaron, if even The Great Southern Trendkill is too brutal for you then why to do a review about a Superjoint Ritual record?

Dude, it isn't too BRUTAL for me. I HATE HATE HATE the vocal style Phil uses on that album so much.

Thus, 'The Grating Southern Earkill.'

I hate it too, and on top of that, the music is in some parts extremely bad. example: the chorus of dress like a target, which doesn't sound like music at all. on top of that, they keep loosing it in the middle of the songs...

Ii thought GST was one of the best albums Pantera made. Phil's voice was cool, Putnam's too. SJR isn't great but they ain't total shit either. 50 maybe?

Ya i agree this album is pretty bad. It has a couple halfway decent songs but that's it. Their first album was better but also nothing to get too excited about.

Here's Barney caught on video,
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9AFMlEWrO7s

It pretty much says it all for this and the record before.
(Other than containing racism and fuck like that)

A.k.a "Limbs of lamb"... or just LOL.

Hardly owned. I thought he meant Barney Greenway and my What? comment was more because his name is What. I dunno what Barney Aaron meant... the purple dinosaur? Whatever, Adamski, I think you overreacted there and posted a premature 'owned lol'. Work going slow or something? Why the fuck would anyone read about Superjoint Ritual anyways? Rubbish band, they are.

Grrr, I'll get you all for this.

Work could never be going fast enough for me not to have the time to point out severe ownage of you.

EDIT - And yes, necroposting is bad enough, but bumping up a 4 year old Superjoint Ritual thread is dowriright criminal. Dreadful, dreadful band that I'm ashamed to say I've seen live (as part of Ozzfest).

Guess you'll never know for sure...

Now, let us all ignore this thread so that Superjoint Ritual may plunge back down to the murky depths of the MR review forum where they belong.
