If you guys aren't checking this out, you're missing out.

I'd take this over Opeth any day of the week, myself... Maybe I'll have to give it another spin but I didn't really draw any comparisons. Then again I haven't listened to Opeth in years, not my kinda thing.

Thanks, Evil Dead. A lot of Klabautamann's gentle parts have a distinctly "mellow Opeth" flavour, but like I said in the review there's a lot more to it than that. It reminds me of early Fleurety.

I really need to listen to this band. Is this a good place to start, or should I listen to another album first? Btw, I liked the cover art a lot!

I'd go for this one, if you dig experimental BM with a whole load of proggy elements. Their earlier albums are great and similar, but are closer to "pure" BM. They're a hell of a band, tbh.

I love this band. Der Ort is some of the best black metal I've heard, and all these Opeth comparisons have made me really excited.
