Spontaneity and carelessness need not be constant bedfellows.

We sterilized our needles carefully with antiseptic solution after burning them first. We also sterilized our ink wells and wore rubber gloves. And we drove 45 minutes to an art supply shop to get the specific kind of ink which you're supposed to use.

2 days in and we're both healing just fine.

Fuck I wish I had a camera with me here. I really want to show it.

Hmm. I just see words like "home-made tattoos" and "internet guide" and automatically facepalm. If I ever get a tattoo it'll be from a goddamn professional.

Yeah, absolutely no fault in that.

I plan to get quite a few tattoos and you can certainly bet they'll be professionally done.

This was just a bit of random fun, which is why we made them tiny and on our ankles/feet where nobody will ever see them. If i write THRASH in caps like that, that's literally how big it is.

Oh, and I also have a tiny, tiny black dot on my hand where I accidentally jabbed myself. hehe.

I'll get a huge anchor tatoo behind my back.

Time for a thread-hijack, I think. Considering growing a chinbeard to look like a hipster; are chinbeards still in fashion, or will I end up looking like Chino Morino circa 2003?

So, yeah. A few days in now, no infections, healing nicely. My girlfriend's healing fine as well.

All in all, a nice bit of random fun! I'd advise for anyone else that wants to try it: keep it small, and place it somewhere inconspicuous. It is very, very easy to screw up!
