A day after this review goes up, and still no replies?
Anyway, I might have to give this a listen. I own From Beale Street To Oblivion but could never really get into it, but I might have to dig it out again and give it another go.

Not enough love around here for Clutch, that's for certain. And I wouldn't start with FBSTO, to be honest - Robot Hive/Exodus or Blast Tyrant are better choices, less Blues, more Rock. Depends what you like, really.

I actually like the Blues aspect of Clutch the most. They reminded me a lot of ZZ Top the first time I heard them. But it's been at least a year since I listened to FBSTO, I think I might go put it on now.

Good album, but a step down from the last few. This one is a bit too laid back, not rockin' enough. I dig it, though.

Its a good album. But its a regression from where they've been.

Thats certainly understandable. There last few albums have been incredible. It had to happen eventually didn't it? But I can't help but be a little disappointed anyhow. Its still solid as can be, but "solid" isn't what I'm after from the guys I consider the very best band on earth.

I'm suggesting some of this drop off may have something to do with thinning out their material with the Bakerton Group album.
