I like this, but totally agree with the review and the score. It is an enjoyable album, but it is nothing new. It's got some very cool moments, but they are very cool moments I have experienced before.
I've kept it no secret that I play on X-Box live with Havok's guitar player, very cool guy. And when this album was released, I got like 17 messages in my X-Box in-box. All saying that I need to hear it, it's so awesome, I'll be blown away. Etc, etc, etc...
I've read previews and reviews for this album other places on the net, and it gets praised as one the best things a thrash band has done in years. But no, that is wrong. It is good, but it just falls flat sometimes.
Anyway, I am ranting. So, yeah it's a good album and worth a listen. The less dedicated thrasher may really enjoy this. But for me, it's just another album by another band.
PS - Havok - Burn > Evile - Enter the Grave
