Great album, and captures the old underground feeling quite well.
This is how Black/Thrash is done, poseurs take note.

all that really needs to be said. Too bad Sauron couldn't follow this up, as Satanic Assassins is pretty meh.

Good review there Thomas.

I disagree....it's different but definately not worse. There's more black metal on Satanic Assassins....although if you still want to hear the glory days of 80's metal then "Lords of Slaughter and Warfare" is one of the greatest songs written in the last ten years.

Of course I am biased because my brother and friends are in the band.

Been hitting up some of these tracks on youtube, based on the strength of this review. Never really knew these guys before.

It's, um, well it's ok. I like it, but I guess i was expecting something more. Just, as i said, based on the high score and all the positive comments herein.

But I guess i'll let it sink in a while longer before making any final judgements.

I'm not saying it's bad, just not as good IMO.

When it clicks or sinks in, it will become one of your favourite newer black/thrash albums.

I though Thrashtilldeath's name was inspired by the opening track...

I forgot the Onslaught song to. But it's not exactly Thrash til death, it's Thrash til the Death, but still same thing.

I only have Power From Hell, though I always liked The Force a bit more.

The Force is the second best thrash album to come out of England, ever.

I never really thought about it.

Thrash till death has become such a slogan for the genre.

It honestly wasn't inspired by any single one of those tracks, at least not consciously.

Sabbat - Dreamweavers or History of a Time to Come, haven't quite figured it out yet.

I knew you were gonna say that, and though I never quantify bands as "best" or "worst", I'd say that that is not an unreasonable assessment.
