To comment on what was said about Tolkki. He isn't jealous, he is fucking insane. The guy forked over the rights to HIS band, gave them his "blessing," screwed his former band mates in the process, blogged continuously about his disgust with Strato, blogged about Jens' stabbing him in the back, and then has the audacity to critique Polaris and call it a disgrace to the Strato name. The guy spends more time blogging and bitching about Strato than he does writing music. My brother said he is even writing a book. Screw Timo Tolkki.

This album is a KILLER comeback. It isn't their best by any means, but Marty's review cover's pretty much how I feel about it. Way to go Stratovarius, a band I thought was dead and ready to call it quits.

The solo in Deep Unknown smokes.

I'll have to check this out.

But I found a grammar mistake in the review:

In fact, there has been absolutely no interest whatsoever from promoters anywhere about taking his band out on tour and in fact, this current Stratovarius album Polaris is outselling anything he has put put out in recent years. Jealously rearing its ugly head on Tolkki's part?....I think so.

Sorry, but I correct my own work all the time when I write my own reviews and that stuck out like a sore thumb

I don't see the error in the review.....someone else must have fixed fixed it.......sorry....thanks for pointing it out. I always spell check everything but extra words sometimes don't get picked up with grammar check in Word.

You forgot to put a period at the end of the first sentence, as well as the last. And there should be a comma ( , ) after the word "but".
Furthermore, the proper way to point out "a grammar mistake" would have been: you made a grammatical error.

Or, in other words, shut the hell up, you pedantic nitpicker.

So why is everyone suddenly lashing out? Banshee and Goat, I totally expected it from you two...you guys have been on my back for the last few weeks, for whatever reason I have no idea...

Ha, I noticed that hours after posting....bottom line is, Marty didn't take offence to someone pointing out an error and there was no need for anyone else to jump on my back. I understand that I too made a gramatical error when pointing it out, which is funny, but there was no need for the attack, either by you, goat or the other guy.

Let's just leave this one alone and get back to the album at hand...

Well, I can only speak for myself, but my post was in a more or less light-hearted vein. Just giving ya a hard time, man.
