As a result of a throat infection and subsequent operation, they actually used more clean vocals. As far as the songwriting goes, it may have been a bit thrashier, but it was no way near as catchy.

Why does crap like this even get reviewed here? It barely passes for Metal and it's not like Bullet For My Valentine need the exposure. Besides stirring the pot on the forum, what's the damn point? Nobody with any real objective taste in music is going to like this nonsense, as just about everyone sees them for what they really are. Only a troll or someone with disgustingly bad taste in music would even bother to review this shit at a metal site. I'm thinking it's 6 of one, half a dozen of the other.

Because regardless of your opinion, it DOES have some value, and has a place in the Metal scene.

There's no reason to exclude any genres of metal just because you don't like them. I think all genres should be covered here.

You wouldn't think so but I have two friends that eat this stuff up as well as any other band that has a 3 or 4 letter name that plays any sort of metalcore. It's actually interesting to hang out with them and listen to the bands, not necessarily more well known bands like Bullet, but many of them seem to be like poor mans versions of better metal bands. It's weird.

I'm on it. Will review at least Redeemer sometime soon.

I tend to agree with you on most things, but not this. Granted, I think BFMV are awful shit, but how can you or I (or anyone for that matter) say what makes someone's musical taste objective? Live and let live I say. Like you, I can't stand this band, but there are people who genuinely like them, and I don't think that makes them unobjective. Bad taste? Yes, in my opinion, but not unobjective. That said, if somebody ever popped this on in my car, I'd floor it straight into the nearest tree.
