I don't really like this album too much, but it's liveable-withable overall.

Eh, it's not a wall of noise, the blastbeats are not retarded, the riffs are not all the same... I dealt with all this in the review. Still, like my closing sentence said, it's the sort of album you have to listen to if just to hate. The entire Black Metal scene is a joke when looked at from a certain angle... certain bands rise to the top, and Marduk are certainly an important band of the scene.

Hey Goaty - I certainly understand your point of view. I'm not a black metal virgin by any means but I'm not a die-hard fan either. Some of it I can appreciate and some I just can't. There are bands that populate the death and black metal scenes that play so frantically fast and growl to such an indiscernible level that I personally find no enjoyment in listening to it. That leaves me feeling that (for me) they have zero musical credibility. I realize that there are many that appreciate and enjoy bands like Marduk. I say more power to you. That's great. I take no issue with their fans but rather how I process/digest the band's music.

I always say that art is so incredibly subjective so, I can only critique music in regards to how I perceive it.

Third, Marduk is a silly name for a Black Metal, even a quasi-BM, band.

So what? There's a lot of silly band names out there. Who cares.

I'm clearly in the midst of genius here... almost as thought provoking as your last post, but, the quality seems to be... slipping.
You must care, since everybody is getting there panties in a bunch over my opinion of their name.
Jesus Kee-rist.

Besides, if you can't tell that the last line was a facetious remark made to point out the absurdity of this whole thing, then I can't help you.

Edit:
Saw the edit and I am marvelling at the fact that you think I am "bent out of shape".
Bizarre, really.
