All Quiet on The Western Front (1979) - remake of the original from 1930

Barton Fink - Totally insane movie, very disturbing at times.

My Neighbour Totoro - The dubbing on the two girls was terrible and made me want to kill people but I enjoyed it anyways.

The Soloist - I liked it. Synesthaesia part was cool; visuals in general were great.

Anger Management. Basically two of my favorite actors (Adam Sandler and Jack Nicholson) starring in the same movie. And the results are quite entertaining (if a little nonsensical).

Just saw The Final Destination last night. Much better than I expected it would be, even if the acting was horrid and the story was just a rehash of the last three movies. I liked that it brought back the domino effect to the death setups that were unfortunately gone from the third movie. Some of the death scenes were spectacular, even if most of them were completely unrealistic.

The Damned United - Good performances if factually a bit iffy.

That is such an amazing story whether it be in black and white or color, book or film.

Man Bites Dog is awesome!

Was going to watch that Gomorrah thing late last night, but then realised it was like two freaking hours long, so I'll save it for another night.

Did you watch the Last Horror Movie yet?

It's like MBD's lowbrow British stepson.

I've been watching all the Miyazaki movies I can find lately. Going for Grave of the Fireflies next.

Boondock Saints - Didn't finish this. Kinda lame.
The Chaser - Good Korean thriller. Maybe a little too gorey; all the blood at the end didn't really convey what the director wanted, I don't think.
Get Shorty - Fun movie.

Grave Of The Fireflies isn't a Miyazaki movie, but just make sure you bring a tissue.

Was expecting shit, but it was actually really good. Braff is underrated as a writer (and an actor), and I hope he does more of this stuff now that he's done with Scrubs.

Oh man. Garden State is such a shit film. It's trying so hard to be indie.

Noodles, you should try finding Whisper of the Heart. It's not Miyazaki, but it's by Studio Ghibli, the guys involved in all of Miyazaki's films. My favourite by them actually.
