This is an excellent comeback release. I think it is better than
Testament and Megadeth's releases. Both of those bored me but this does not.

I've seen a lot of people claiming that this one's better than any of the new albums by Metallica, Megadeth or Testament. I'm not sure I would agree with that but it's at least on par with any of those albums IMHO.

Laaz Rockit is just one of those bands from the thrash heyday that I have yet to make an attempt of getting into. I have been meaning to, just never got around to it. They are on my list of bands to check out, just haven't...yet.

Should I start with this one, or maybe start with some of their older stuff first?

From what I've heard of their 80's albums, Left For Dead sounds better than anything they've done before as far as I'm concerned.

I always thought of Laaz Rockit as a third rate thrash band, boooring and uninspired . (I still must have somewhere a tape with No Stranger To Danger in one side and Know Your Enemy in the other, the only two I have listened to). Perhaps it's time to give them another chance, with this comeback.

Annihilation Principle was their best before Left for Dead.
The opening riff from Fire in the Hole makes me wanna break windows or something.

Start with Know Your Enemy, theyre a mix of US Power metal and Thrash with some of the most excellent riffs and catchy melodies, im a big fan of this band and i dont agree with ganesha about them being third rate, i havent heard this album but the one track i heard on myspace was excellent.

Definitely start with their older stuff; remember old school is always better, especially when it's thrash metal; Know Your Enemy and Annihilation Principle are great slabs of Bay area thrash, and if you want to be really old school, then get their 1st album City's Gonna Burn.
