High fructose corn syrup is the main reason why most Americans (especially the women) are fat and disgusting. So yeah... I try to stick with organic whenever possible.

Nah, boiling the entire obesity problem down to one single ingredient and placing the blame solely on that seems perfectly reasonable.

I have a blanket statement too. People from the States should cover their shapes with more blankets.

It wouldn't have anything to do with the lack of physical exercise by most people or would it?

Between all the junk food I've eaten in my life, I've consumed a whole lot of high fructose corn syrup, yet I still weigh around 125 pounds. As with anything, it's a matter of not eating too much, exercising, and balancing your diet. I stand by what I said before, it's ridiculous to blame the obesity problem on one ingredient.

You remind me of the mainstream media, in that you always provide statements that comfort people.

Actually people would rather here that getting rid of one ingredient would solve their problems rather than not eating too much, exercising and balancing your diet.

I'm suspicious of the people defending high fructose corn syrup, I must say. No-one's denying that going for a jog and eating cabbage isn't good for you, but what's so great about H.F.C.S is beyond me.

You always seem to be looking for something to blame, and subscribing to the conspiracy du jour.

I'm not defending it, it's not great, it's pure junk food, but a bit of junk food every once in a while wouldn't hurt. Just don't make it a regular staple of your daily diet; that shouldn't be too much to ask.

And furthermore, as close-minded as possible.

Hahaha

Okay

Have fun with your far-fetched irrational theories.

noodles is right.
There isn't any one culprit at hand here.

Keeping yourself fit isn't exactly rocket science.
Lean proteins, fruit & veggies, fruit & veggies, more fruit & veggies and exercise. That's it, really.
Once you quit eating and drinking junk food, after a couple of weeks, you won't want it; it will look and taste disgusting.

I've lost a good of weight cutting most of that out of my diet. It's amazing how much crap is in our foods, man.

That's all well and good for you, but not everyone has the same metabolism, or get the same reactions when working out. I recently started working out and I changed my diet to a more healthy one over a month ago, and it's been awesome, but it wouldn't take very long for me to start chomping on crap that's loaded with stuff like high fructose corn syrup to bloat up again. Working out or not.

I keep my diet on oat meal in the morning for some energy in the shape of carbs, and the I mostly eat proteins and vitamines in the shape of meat and veggies the rest of the day. Does the job very effectively.

I'm a vegetarian, and vegetarian diets get very expensive on their own, so I don't buy all organic fruits and veggies. I try to buy some here and there. I do however frequent the farmers market when I don't work on Saturday mornings.

I stick to a pretty healthy diet, and frequent the gym pretty often. Actually, not so much lately, haven't slipped into a well enough routine since school restarted unfortunately.
