I petition this thread be renamed The Awesome Music Dickheads Say You Shouldn't Be Listening To (except Zad and Afro's posts) Thread.

I still like 80s pop, the stuff that I used to listen to before I started listening to metal. In fact, I am downloading a set of 1000 mp3s from the 80s. I've had a sudden urge to listen to them. In spite of my hatred for most rap, there are a few songs here and there that I like.

Now that they aren't trying to sound American, they've got some interesting malarkey on the go.

Ah yes; I had forgotten the open-mindedness of thrash metal fans.

You sir are an idiot, "Fucking Poseurs" its a local hip hop band from my town, they often play covers of Meshugga, Behemot and Dream Theater, i would provide you a link but i cant because the guys are poor and dont have internet.

BTW if you feel guilty about listening to any music, you are a fucking poseuer.

I love you.

I'll have to check them out, then. Assumed they were crappy Kerrang! faves, despite having a decent song or two.

Enya and Sigur Rós are great, too; though I don't consider the latter as a guilty pleasure, seeing as they're more acceptable to metalheads.

I wouldn't consider those names to be, in any way, guilty pleasures. Great stuff.
I really like Lisa Germano too.

Indie rock and Made-For-MTV pop rock like the All-American Rejects.

I remember I got a used car not too long ago and there was a Biffy Clyro CD in the CD player that I guess someone forgot to take out before selling it.

So, score, I guess, free CD.

Haven't listened to it yet.

I'm certainly not guilty about it, though.

T.A.T.U.? Didn't they only ever do two songs? Their manager controlled their lives and wouldn't even let them do a song with Rammstein (Moskau) in case they found out that they weren't really lesbians.

They have 3 full length CD's. I have them all, and enjoy their latter two a lot more than the first that got them all the attention. Their songs in Russian are way better than when they do them in English, I've found a Russian version of just one of their CD's, then their latest I have in like half russian.

Catchy stuff. Moreso than a lot of other pop in the style they do, IMO.

Breakbeats - from all sides of the spectrum, but particularly stuff like trip-hop, breakcore, drum and bass and dubstep.
