Sounds like this isn't your cup O' tea man. I've been listening to these guys for a while now, and like 'em. They do ply a more brutal trade along the lines of Dawn of Demise, but I see and hear plenty of difference in the songwriting. The Cleansing still utilize many great grooves and certainly know how to mix it up. But I see each band as a new great sounding take on a tried and true genre. They bring that incredibly well polished european punch and brutality where the american side is not as beefy sounding.

And there are alot of hooks on Poisoned Legacy. The riffs are great at times, some excellent use of drumming with varied patterns and effecient blasting without becoming overbearing and some nice leads spread throughout. I'd say this is a good album if not great. But then again I live and breath this stuff, so take that as you will. I particularly enjoy the faint hints of twisted melody in some riffs, this baby will stay with me for some time. :dio:

I am happy to be rebuffed by someone who enjoyed it and was able to explain why.

Thanks dude, it was a good review, I got this thing as soon as I could upon my preferred ordering label saying they had a few copies in stock and what it sounded like. I understand, in a sea of similarity it doesn't bear necessity to listen, but if one is a fan of this stuff, its a solid release.

Thanks for being cool, I was thinking I came off as a fanboy dick and was expecting the worst. :dio:

Promise, we won't turn it into a lovefest, but your post seemed very reasonable to me. From the few posts in these forums I sort of figured, this is exactly up your alley, so enjoy it. I just talked about how I saw it at that very moment.

Almost every song featured on “Poisoned Legacy” is centred on a vicious, groovy and demolishing musical attack that bents on bands like Morbid Angel, Immolation and Hate Eternal. It sounds great!
