The last time I said that the Kings immediately lost three in a row. I try not to believe in jinxes so here goes:

Kings have won four in a row again! :dio: :dio: :dio: :dio:

Having Anze Kopitar leading the league in goals (10) and points (21) is pretty great as well.

Your move, jinx.

Nooo! I was so hoping they'd tie the worst NHL start in history (that'd be the Rangers, at 11 games). But I guess I should just be happy they beat their own record. That's what being a Maple Leaf is about: Competing with yourself to just reach that extra level of awfulness which the team didn't have before.

The high and mighty Habs fans, win 3 in a row and are the best, ever. Beating the 1-4-4 Islanders in OT must of felt great.

4 in a row, actually, though my post never addressed the Habs, just the Leafs. It is far to easy to get under a Leaf fan's skin.

It sucks that we lost, but it was amazing to hear the Habs fans sing "nanana hey hey goodbye" then the Leafs score 2 goals to send it to OT. That was beautiful.

we are still losing, but our compete level is much higher. Toskala was decent, and 2 of the 4 goals were crazy deflection goals that he really had no chance on, but goddamn is he brutal in the shootout.

just thinking of Kessel coming in on the rush and releasing that amazing snap-shot he has gives me goosebumps.

Reasonable hopes for him this year is to net 20 to 25 goals. Then, if healthy next year, 30+.

oh and Tomas Kaberle anybody? The man has been brilliant. 13 points in his last 3 games. TSN has him on pace for 96 points, now I don't think he will get that many, but if he keeps this up he has an easy 55+ point season.

thats good the leafs have atleast one person that can pass to kessel. i think he's goning to have a drop in goal total becuase no ones going to be feeding him the puck constantly (savard)

I understand that Marc Savard had a big influence on Kessel last season, but that argument against is very overrated. There are several people who have broken down goal-for-goal by Kessel for last season, and how much Savard really affected him. Our PP is 3rd in the league right now and we don't have anybody that even resembles Marc Savard on this team. Why can't Kessel continue to score?

wow thats really good stuff. Im actually a leafs fan too but i stopped following the team closely after they treated sundin like crap and forced him out . Hopefully kessel has a bright future and boston gets two draft picks that are like 20th overall but i cant see toronto making the playoffs this yera unless they can get really tight on defence and catch a couple breaks. With any luck at all toronto should have 3 or 4 wins right now.

the problem is, the Leafs have no luck. They are cursed. Look at the first goal Montreal scored tonight. That kind of goal happens 1 in a 100 times, and of course it happens to us.

Phil Kessel better fucking rule. Because if Toronto stays in last place and gives the first overall draft pick to Boston, an already strong team, the entire division will punch Brian Burke so much.
