In my opinion it was a bit of a disappointment, yes though I'm sure some would disagree. The problem I find with bands like Hellsaw is that after one or two decent albums they try too hard to repeat what they've done but taking it to what they perceive as the "next level" in trying to define their sound. The result tends to be an album that beats around the bush too much in comparison to past albums. The first two full-lengths were a little more direct and intense. I'd give them a listen if I were you, just for comparison's sake.

I'm going to get so much shit for this but black gives way to blue is probably my favourite album of this year (so far). It's also the suprise of the year, i couldn't imagine them doing this without layne.

7. Grammatics - Grammatics (thought this came out last year but RYM is telling me otherwise)

So much awesome stuff has come out in the last couple months that I imagine changes will happen.

More people need to hear the new Sacrifice album. It is more than just another thrash album. It's got a nice meaty production, some doom metal moments, and just all around awesome. Definitely album of the year for me.

I know because I posted this it will go mostly ignored, but I am telling you people this is one of the best modern thrash albums out there. If The Antichrist by Destruction is the best modern thrash album, then this is #2.
