Of course they're important, but the single most important? Why?

And have you actually listened to Rust in Peace, Peace sells or killing is my business? How can you call it fake thrash?

You know the other day I actually took the time put my headphones on and listened to Peace sells. The album did it for me I'll say the best moments being the first 4 songs. But for the most part it didn't do as much for me as Reign in blood or Show No Mercy. Megadeth are comprised of excellent musicians, and Mustaine can muster up some good riffs. I don't think Megadeth are as memorable a band as Slayer though in terms of the overall value of the songs though; of course this is just my opinion. That and Mustaine's vocals just have to be ignored..

Maybe not, but you're talking of classic Slayer at least.

This guy speaks of shit Slayer as it is fucking untouchable, which leads me to believe that he's just another Hot Topic-kid who got his Slayer-shirt there. Supremist: What is real thrash? Did Kerry King tell you when you.. oh well. Inappropriate.

Sorry Steve, but anyone who listens to as much bree bree deathcore as you has no business criticising Mustaine's vocals. Plus, Slayer don't write songs so much as rewrite their older songs.

I've been listening to thrash metal for more than 10 years now. Granted it was after the 80s thrash wave but before the new trend hit.
And to answer your question, though I'm not sure you want me to, SLAYER is real thrash.

Hah every band has a few rabid fans that think that they are 'untouchable' so to speak especially Slayer. My only response to him is listen to more thrash bands because there are a lot out there that butcher Slayer in terms of speed and musical proficiency.

Do you consider Sodom, Kreator, Destruction, Celtic Frost and Metallica to be real thrash as well, Supremacist? 'Cause if Direbollocks In Musica is real thrash then there are very few bands out there that aren't real thrash.

And none of those would have existed if Slayer hadn't.

There are a lot of thrash bands that existed concurrently with Slayer those are the ones I'm talking about. I'm a huge Slayer fan but I will admit that bands like Dark Angel, Morbid Saint, and Evildead are 50x more intense then Slayer because I've bridged out since listening to them since high school. I mean just crack in Darkness descends or Spectrum of death and you'll see what I mean.

Ad hoc after ad hoc. Supremist, what the FUCK is "real thrash"?? Define your terms. And don't engage in bloody circular logic.

Exodus were pre-Slayer, to answer your point. And your Thrash logic is seriously screwed if you think that Exodus have only released one good album, but worship every nu-metal jumpdafuckup single from Slayer.

Hah nice post, but even Araya at his grittiest and most hoarse is still better then Baloff; I mean even Dukes is better then Baloff. This is in no way advocating the band rerecording Bonded by blood though!!!

Pre-Slayer for their formation but not regarding releases. And I sure as hell am that would they have preceeded Slayer discographically they would have sounded like a heavy metal band, not a thrash one.

What the fuck man? Who are you to judge what is real thrash or not? Slayer is real thrash, but so is fucking Exodus, Sadus, Megadeth, Sodom, Kreator, Vendetta, Razor, Sacrifice, early Anthrax and Metallica, DESTRUCTION as well.

I respect your opinion that Slayer is the best band the world has ever seen and should all be presidents, but I don't respect a blanket statement excluding a significant ammount of just as important or even more important bands in the thrash movement over the years.

I never said those bands were not real thrash too...
