Quarantine

One of the better zombie movies I've seen. Really intense, even if it's hard to tell what's going on at times. Horror movies always seem to be more effective when viewed in the first person.

Thought it was great too, enjoyed it more than REC (the original Spanish version) but probably only because I saw it first.

Is there any difference aside from the language and actors? Saw REC, can't really be bothered watching it again.

There's nothing lamer than remaking a film practically identically so that your audience won't have to read subtitles. Pointless remakes of perfectly good horror films are becoming more pestilentially out of control than an actual zombie apocalypse itself.

Its more or less the same script, there's a few differences, mainly to do with the ending (it still ends the exact same way but the cause of the virus is altered slightly), and the character that figures out the whole rabies thing is a slightly different. Not really worth watching until you feel like re-watching REC.

rio, I tend to agree with you but in this instance I thought it was just about justifiable. I had a hard time keeping up with the subtitles on REC - I know that probably adds to the chaotic nature of the film but I still prefer to know what's being screamed.

Now, the planned remake of Let the Right One In.....come onnnnnnn. :lame:

Edward Woodward died today.

Reminds me of a joke: why does Edward Woodward like the letter D? Because without it he'd be called Ewar Woowar. :)

Shame. The Wicker Man is a total classic, even if it was far surpassed by the immeasurably superior Nic Cage version of a few years ago.

And  at the joke!

Funny People - Made me chuckle a lot and I liked the interaction of the characters. Very good.
Flow - Corporations are such dicks; I love it.
Everything Will Be Okay - Crams quite a bit of funny, true and sad into 17 minutes.
