Hey Misha...

When I made the update this week, only a shell of this review was entered (artist and album title only, no body of the review or artwork). After I figured that out, I hurried up and took it out of this week's lineup. Still, a forum topic was created.

Since the review is now done, I put the review back online. It is now linked to this forum topic.
Having said that, I'll get out of here and go back to my power metal forum so you all can read and discuss this review  .

Hmm, I have know this act already for sometime now, but I have never really bothered to check it out. But this review seemed promising, maybe I'll lob this one in on my next order of records....

Thanks man, yeah I basicly enter a review in different stages, so you must have put it online just between me entering it and inserting the text.

Well, this is probably my fourth post or so, but I just wanted to comment on this album.

Considering the scale you guys use, were I to review the album I'd have scored it higher, but that may be from sentimental value. Though this is by no means an old album, it was instrumental in my induction into the 'kvlt'-ish black metal environment. Disgusting record all around, but wonderful. Great mix.

Glad to see it up, though, no matter its score.

I don't quote like the other reviewers, if I think something is very good, which this is, I give it a 70 or a 75, just according to the quote table that you find on this site. You could add 10 to 15 points to see how the score would be if someone else who liked it equally as much scored it.

Yup!!! I have friend who have aprox. 80 cd, lp's, singles and dvds in total with Metallica (what's the fucking point in having the same music on 8 different medias?). His kind shouldn't be alowed to make reviews since he is obsessed with Metallica. He even thinks St. Anger is one of their best albums. When you become obsessed you also become blind.

I'm just going to keep my comments on this short and simple. This album has a lot of the good qualities I look for in black metal. Great backround and feeling, distubing production and vocals, hypnotic riffs, ect.

90/100 from me.

80/100

Great album. Im sure it wont reinvent the bm wheel, but there is some pretty unique stuff here.

Does anyone know of any more bm that has some kind of post-rock-ish influence? If that doesnt make sense, im thinking of delicate, fragile kinda stuff. Some xasthur releases also have a bit of it, maybe even some leviathan, but thats all i can think of.

Maybe you should look into avant-garde bm like Fleurety, Ved Buens Ende and such.
