Lets go

1. Converge - Axe To Fall. Maybe best Converge album which makes it album of the year ez.
2. The Paper Chase - Someday All this Could Be Yours. Best Paper Chase album which makes it a very good album.
3. Doomriders - Darkness Come Alive. At first I was like "shit this is pretty good" now I'm like "fuck every song on here is memorable and skin-tingling and heart-pumping and perfect." I noticed I tend to preface quotes of people with 'like "profanity/emoticon/lol/misc other interjections'
4. Devin Townsend - Addicted. Addictive. Gets the skin-tingling like any good Devin album does.
5. Slough Feg - Ape Uprising. Riffs.
6. Grammatics - Grammatics. Thought this was a 2008 album but RYM says no.
7. The Mars Volta - Octahedron. Really good songs but I can't shake the feeling that it doesn't feel like a complete album in the same way their other 4 do.
8. Buried Inside - Spoils of Failure. Epic destruction. I vote it for best lead guitar of the year. Can't beat those melodies.
9. Devin Townsend - Ki. Disruptr is a bit of a dud but from Terminal onward this album is scary good and has a perfect flow of intense/soothing parts.
10. Jonny Craig - A Dream is a Question You Don't Know How to Answer. I like singing along to this a lot.
11. Trophy Scars - Bad Luck. First two and last songs are just amazing. The stuff in between is pretty great too.

Kurt Ballou, Nate Newton and Devin Townsend are also awesome for being involved with at least two albums on this last. Yay them.

Disruptr was one of my favorite tracks. Don't we do this in the yearly list threads?
