Anthrax was such a fun band in those days. They had a sense of humor, something noticeably absent in the majority of metal. Combine that with their unique riffing and frantic rhythm section and you get one hell of a mosh.

Spreading the disease is a bit better in my opinion, but this album is still really good. I agree that Caught in a Mosh is their best song ever. Definately a classic.

Ah, long indeed have I waited for this to attain classic status (outside of my own geeky brain list anyway)...easily my favourite Anthrax album, every track is a winner but yeah, 'Caught in a Mosh', 'Indians' and 'A.D.I./Horror of it All' would take the cake for me...I must admit to this being my top consideration for a sample classic review if I ever got around to sending one in to the MR bigwigs...ah well, have to stick with Abigail i guess :P btw while we're on the subject, does anyone know what A.D.I. stands for? I haven't been able to crack the code...although I have an inkling it could be 'acoustic (something) intro' or 'A D intro' as in the chords A & D...enlightenment would be appreciated...cheers

Definitely a classic and worthy of all the praise it gets. This album is better than some of the top four's releases, so I think Anthrax definitely belongs among them.

Didn't like as much as "Spreading the Disease" but still a great album. It seemed that Anthrax was relaxed and having fun with it. Don't like the production on the guitars on this one, a bit thin for me.

Beside the fact that imo State of Euphoria is a poor man's Among the Living II, i agree with you.

The title track is my favourite Anthrax song, and so, it's my favourite Anthrax album.

An album well-deserving of the "classic" status, Caught in a mosh is an energetic and fun song.

Among the Living was the first thrash album I ever bought. Good times.
