Enough awesome albums came my way to consider it the first option, I think. No doubt there's a lot of gems from the past ten years I still have to uncover, too. So, yeah, awesome.

Awesome for sure. Some of the best music I've ever heard came from 00's. And as Zad said, there is still so much to hear.

any era that can make an album like Behemoth's Demigod is good in my book.

Aside from the deathcore / metalcore / nu metal uprising, the 00's had some really amazing releases, and a ton of major comebacks from the genre greats.

Great. Most of my favourite albums are from this decade although that's because most albums I've heard are from this decade.

I'd say compared to the other decades metal has gone through, 00s was the best. Awesome.

Awesome. I still think 70's and 80's were better, and 90's a little worse, but all four decade of metal are AWESOME.

Awesome seems an obvious choice to me. There has been some incredible music released the past ten years and considering I haven't heard 99% of it I can only imagine there are still a lot of little masterpieces out there that I haven't heard yet. I think I'll just spend the next decade listening to those and I'll catch up with the rest of you in 2020.

In my opinion the 00's has been really good. A big step up from the 90's if u ask me. The 80's is pretty unbeatable though.

St. Anger and The Unspoken King are two albums that will live on in infamy.
