Forgot about that one, but there's several more out there that I didn't mention. Such as:

And of course, the one that started it all:

Aw, c'mon man. Those are really cool covers, the Maiden and Strato covers included.

I don't understand the problem...

I understand that they have the same type of theme, but all those albums that have been shown on this thread look great.

Good album covers are sometimes few and far between, but those (I've seen them all before btw) are some of the better ones out there currently...

Those are good covers (Shadowland and No World Order! are especially excellent), all I'm saying is that the style is a bit overused. But as long as it's done right, I really have no complaints. I just thought it was ridiculous that so many power metal bands use the good / evil split album cover design.

Ah. So that was what you were getting at. I never noticed. But, now I do. I sometimes realize things a bit late. Yeah, if you focus at the good/evil split thing, it is a bit overdone. Still cool covers though.

Its a good point. Most power metal bands have no creativity whatsoever, even when it comes down to album covers. The retro-thrash bands are the same in this respect. Everone gets Repka artwork.

Only retro-thrash? Have you see the old thrash album covers? Thrash in general is one of the most one-dimensional genres out there, always has been.

As horrible as those power metal album arts are, nothing beats the one-dimensional "kvlt" chickenscratch that is bedroom black metal logos.
