Yeah, pretty much what Dago said. I do enjoy his stuff, but I have to be in the right mood, and as much as I enjoy sitting there trying to puzzle it out, I'm half convinced that a lot of the time any 'meanings' to it are arbitrary and it's filmmaking deliberately designed to be obtuse and puzzling. Haven't seen that many of his films, however, and want to see more, so maybe my opinion will change one way or the other in time.

Mulholland Drive is the best.

Eraserhead is cool just because it's so "wtf"

Blue Velvet is good, although less weird.

Lost Highway is okay.

Dune is fucking atrocious.

I've only seen Eraserhead and it didn't make me want to see his other stuff. I'll probably check out Blue Velvet someday.

Ooh, yes. And plus one to whoever said Dune was crap, although it is amusing to watch if you can bear it.

The script for Eraserhead is some pretty odd material, it makes you wonder about whats going on in the man's head. I don't think he is insane quite the contrary, but the man clearly has an entirely different process then his fellow human being.
