This shit, again? Serious? So, Steve, what is this obsession you have with disparaging all things Black Metal? Now we are onto the logos. I mean, you can't even keep it out of the Power Metal threads. Most normal people don't feel the need to perpetually proclaim their distaste with the things they don't care for in life. I hate all that "core" suffixed shit, just like I hate spinach, but, I don't feel the need to bring it up, over and over and over and over, again. It ain't healthy. So, what happened? Did some big Black Metal meanies shake your lunch money out of your pockets, and send you off to math class with a wedgie and an empty stomach on a daily basis? Did they run over your dog? Steal your gym shorts? Did those mean dirty guys make fun of your love  for Moonspell?

Did they make your life a living hell? I understand, we all have our cross to bear, but most people let go of it when they can.What, for once and for all, is this OBSESSION with knocking all things related to Black Metal? Does it make you feel special? Is it attention you crave? Validation?Are you posting this just in case someone missed the first 50 or so memos declaring your disgust with the genre? Is it for the edification of any newcomers, that don't yet know your position on the genre? What is it?And finally, do you think anybody cares? we all got it the first 50 times you mentioned it. Give your neck a rest, son.
Do yourself (and the rest of us) a favor: go out, get laid, scream into a pillow, ball up your fists, kick your neighbors dog into the gutter, whatever it takes...

How ironic (or perhaps not so ironic, after all) that this shit popped up in a thread titled: "Is Anyone Else Getting Sick Of...".

Hah. I wasn't even trying to do my usual rounds, I got some email from the Red stream distro and some of the logos are terribly illegible. Not that it matters or anything. You make a good point though I have a pretty shitty habit about posting my certain odium for black metal and tech death. Though I seriously doubt some "kvlt" kid would fight me for my gym shorts

But, seriously, some of those so-called "kvlt" (hate that term) logos are pretty cool.

Most of my reviews on MA are actually very negative on tech death, though my outlook on black metal is equally as bad. If anyone actually wanted to criticize my taste, then my love for old school death metal is pretty obvious. I pretty much go on and on about how godly old Suffocation are and Cannibal Corpse (imagine that)...

I dig old Obituary, Carcass, Death, Deicide (debut) and Possessed quite a lot, especially Obituary, but that's about for death Metal for me.

I'm more liable to be listening to some traditional late 70's - mid 80's metal than anything else these days, though.

Not really, no. If I can tell what genre it is by the cover that is good enough for me.

I generally like prog/power album covers, because at least they feature art on the cover, as opposed to so many death bands with grotesque/gruesome/stylistically bad covers (Incantation, Suffocation, Cannibal Corpse etc) or suicide black metal covers with pictures of people lying in bathtubs contemplating or committing suicide (Shining, Forgotten Tomb, Abyssic Hate).

Immortal has to take the cake for stupid poses of them in corpsepaint on the covers of most of their albums though.

I always thought the scrawled logos of traditional BM bands were pretty cool.
