I agree with the score given on this album 100%, the review pretty much surmised the album without delving too much into needless detail. There are way too many breakdowns to give it anything better then a D+, it was a big improvement over Decimate the weak though! Good review

Spot on review. There were enough good moments to make me think these guys are capable of more, but this album just doesn't quite put it all together and often times gets pretty boring.

I am of the firm belief that pianos & synths + Deathcore = a pretty big mess, and indeed, that is my impression of this band. They've never really done anything for me at all.

I really enjoy winds of plague, but I have to say that their sophomore effort lacks a certain 'rawness' that decimate the weak had. It is slightly overproduced, but the mix is excellent. I've heard many, many bands put the keys too high or too low in the mix and this album is just right-epic, not cheesy, and still really heavy. Without the keys, winds would be average in my book-just another deathcore band with gang shouts, breakdowns, etc. The synths make the band.

I'd give it a higher score because I personally enjoyed it more than the reviewer, but it has to be said that deathcore is much better than metalcore. I don't listen to it often, but there is a time and a place for something heavy as hell, relentless, and repetitive. Winds does that for me

I've heard decimate the weak and it is decent but didn't exactly make me want to hear this one. They would be better without the keyboards, honestly. They seem to have no idea how to incorporate them into the music, it's ok when they keep the keyboard passages shorter.

No, no, no
They had a previous album before Decimate the weak.
Decimate the weak was more or less a rerecording of a few tracks off of their first album "A cold day in hell". I wasn't recommending Decimate the weak at all.

Ohh, forgive me, I haven't listened to their debut and I sometimes forget it even exists.
