Some mushrooms, I agree, can make you lose your mind (though I'd argue that's fun...) but not all.

There are different sorts. Different strains, different combinations of psilocybin with other naturally occurring chemicals. Anyway, the point is some shrooms give a visual/body high, without so much of a headfuck, and vice versa. So there's mushrooms for every occasion!

I know what you mean about types of people. It's like burgers. Some people can eat them without ballooning into grotesque crossbreeds of man and sofa, some can't. I couldn't hold down a permanent drug habit without losing my job, though, I have a hard enough time with alcohol as it is. Ultimately, it's like cigarettes, a kinda pointless and expensive habit that you wish you gave up years earlier than you did.

I do want to try mushrooms at some point, though. Maybe when I meet someone I trust enough not to deliberately freak me out, heh.

It can be fun, but you have to be careful. There's a fine line between a good dose, and K-hole dose.

The good dose will make you feel like you're floating, and possibly give you a slight out of body experience, along with slight visual distortion and euphoria.

A K-hole puts you in a mini coma. It's really not that bad, you just feel like you've been in a really deep sleep for 4 or 5 hours, but its a terrible waste of money.

So make sure you are doing it with someone who knows the right dose, and as I learned the hard way, DON'T SMOKE ANY WEED coz it'll K-hole you.

I took two tabs of acid at a Mars Volta show.

They were doing a (relatively) quiet, psychadelic jam for AGES.... i ahd my eyes closed and was tripping pretty hard, swaying a bit,...keep in mind this is in the pit and there's people everywhere with no space to move anywhere.....and then out of nowhere the band all explode with noise, DRUMMING AND TRUMPETS AND SAX AND GUITAR, it just exploded.....

....And i involuntarily puked all over the guy in front of me.

I wouldn't at a thrash show.

But that's only because I think you need trippier music to have the best time.

I would still do them at a metal show, but it would have to be doom metal or something.

I got possessed when I did shrooms. Like I started doing shit and it wasn't me doing it, like something took control of me.

but yeah as I said earlier I would only do shrooms by myself now or with one or two trusted buddies...no people that I'm unsure at all about.

They kind of "back off" as you have had more doses of them.

The first few times I did them, I also went completely crazy. I literally forgot what a phone is for, or how to operate one. I started recording my voice on a tape recorder and somehow decided that if the recording stopped, the world would not continue without it.

That caused me quite some stress, hehe.

But now that I've had a few doses a year for a few years I can take them and trip the fuck out without losing my mind. Besides, as I said in an earlier post, it depends what kind of mushrooms you have.

It pays to be learned.

Angel of Death on shrooms will be sick. Praise of Death would be even better.

yeah i ate an eighth a couple months ago but I all I got was this strange sensation for a while no tripping, maybe it some of the food on my stomach fucked with them...
