Yeah Converge are just like "oh shit son, you think you can be pissed and write amazing riffs? We'll show you some riffs boy, we'll show you." And other bands don't have a chance.

That's a lot of Converge chugging guys. Except you're forgetting that Opeth are in fact the greatest band ever and other bands just aren't as awesome.

As you can see, Converge's red bar is bigger than Opeth's blue bar. This is absolute and conclusive proof that Coverge is better than Opeth.

I approve of that chart. Converge are both longer and thicker than Opeth.

There are definitely similarities between Converge's sound and Mastodon's sound circa Call of the Mastodon.

oh .. and my personal hierarchy of bands mentioned in this thread would be

Opeth > Mastodon > Converge.

Mastodon seems to borrow a lot more from Neurosis than they ever did from Converge.

Some sections of Blood Mountain as a matter of fact sound pretty much like Neurosis taken at a quicker pace, but not as good, though.

Neurosis = Converge > Opeth > Mastodon
