that's a damn good description ! :D but I think you forgot how chaotically free jazz the Red Chord might sound from times to times... except if this album is different from their previous

anyway, I am eagerly waiting for this album and even more since i read your review ! :D

I heard a song off this album when I saw them live, and they had a really beautiful soft instrumental break between the chaos of the song... Which was reminiscent of a few songs off the BTBAM's first album.

I like both bands, but it kinda feels like they are reaching into each others hats, pulling out the same tricks. Same goes for alot of other bands trying to pull the same sound these days.

The trouble with all these brutal metalcore bands is that there are so many of them! Heard a RC track, need to hear another one before my mind is made up.

So far I've only heard Black Santa off this CD, and loved it. Considering buying it, but I have many expenses to attend to atm.

Hey Jaden ! Long time no see.... hope you'll comeback sooner next time ! :D

and The Red Chord latest is way less chaotic then more directly enjoyable... dunno if it last as long as Revolving Doors did... but so far, so good...

I think this band is going to be at the sounds of the underground tour which i am thinking about going to. I'll have to check this album out.

Ugh...another band that sounds like a million other bands that just aren't that good! This screamo nonsense is getting old! This band does NOTHING for me musically and I think the vocalist is horrendous! I'm 29 and maybe a lot of you are a lot younger than that, but do you really think that in 10 years you could throw this CD on and still like it? I mean, there are some great metalcore bands out there, but the majority offer nothing that very memorable! Yeah, maybe it's good music that has an immediate effect, but does it last? Do you crave this shit?

I just think that this generation of music is tired and wholly unmemorable. This band being a classic example. They do nothing for me and I listen to tons of bands and tons of styles of music, I just don't hear it with this band. Same old shit that is being done by countless other bands, all of them hovering right below mediocre.

Agreed, and well said on your part Eyesore. It's just another hyped up mediocre-at-best band that are largely catching the ears of hardcore kids who are also getting into Metal (just like most of the bands themselves) and the money-hungry eyes of record execs who hope to relive Metal's last big popularity rise, so it makes perfect sense. What perplexes me is when people who listen to Metal and have been for awhile go crazy over something like this, I guess they had to unleash that hardcore inner child somehow.

Or maybe they're just not a genre-nazi and like good music for being good music.

Obviously this is a subjective term, so there is no need for going back and forth on the subject, but to me it's NOT good music.

I was just citing their background and their non-metal forays(in the case of DEP) as reasoning behind why their music might be so terrible, i'm not saying it's directly responsible for me not enjoying it, but indirectly.

Ahhh, I'm finally able to catch up and listen to some of the finer releases of 2005 and this one is surely on that list. Ever since I heard Sikth for the first time this kind of chaotic and technical music has really gotten my attention and I don't really know why, but I do enjoy it a lot. Clients is awesome and I'm eager to listen to the previous album.
