Goodbye Solo - Great low-budget film about a taxi-driver trying to stop an old man from committing suicide. Very reflective and slow, but wonderful all the same.

It really gave that away in the trailer? :omfg: Glad I only ever saw the TV spot...

Pretty enjoyable action movie. Do I continue with the series?

Do it.

yep

Just sit still and try to stay calm. The camera work in the sequels are like taken from a flimsy MTV-music video or something.

I've recently seen:
Jennifers's Body: I can't really figure out if this is intentionally stupid and funny, or just sad. Some parts were fun, some just useless. And is it just me or is Amanda Seyfried pretty hot?

Boondock Saints 2: It was entertaining but should never have been made.

Up in the Air: Great stuff. Really. Yes really. People seem to get hung up on the Oscar nomination. Just forget about the hype and everything and enjoy it on it's own merit. And the lovely actresses.

Glad that's settled.

Castle In The Sky

Some really fantastic imagery here.

On a side note, I'm so glad I watched it in Japanese. I watched that "behind the mic" thing they have on the DVDs, and while Cloris Leachman and Mark Hammil seem like they'd be perfect for their respective parts, the fact that they got two 20-somethings to play the voice parts of the main characters, who are kids... Ugh.

I remember the guy's dubbing on that movie being a bit off but overall it didn't bug me too much.

Hearing that guy's clearly-20-something-year-old voice as the voice of Pazu in that special feature things seriously threw me off.

I appreciate the voice talent Disney brings to all the Ghibli movies, because they really are good actors for the most part, but the past few Ghibli movies I've seen, I've seen them in Japanese, and seeing bits of the english versions in the speacial features... uh, I think I'd rather see them in Japanese, lol.

Saw Moon. Excellent movie, with great acting from Sam Rockwell. Some of the scriptwriting is a bit weak, but otherwise, one of the best sci fi movies I've seen in a while.

I liked Michael Clayton and Up In The Air. Clooney is a great actor, although he has made some really bad movies.

He is much better than he's given credit for, although I don't think he's superb. Michael Clayton was good, however, not seen UITA but I want to.
