I actually like this album a lot. However, I do agree that the musical direction of this album was heavily influenced by the record company. Also, the production is pretty crappy. Drums too loud, guitars are weak.

Jon Oliva has stated many times that this album was them bending to label pressure.

Despite this, it's a good album. It contains my least favorite Sava song ("Day After Day"), but it's got some great tunes as well ("Fight For The Rock," "Hyde," "Lady In Disguise," "Red Light Paradise"). And the rest are decent.

It is definitely the worst Savatage album, but it's still pretty good. "Day After Day," though...man, that song fucking sucks! Haha.

Day After Day is a Badfinger cover by the way.

"Day After Day" is a pretty good song and Savatage did a good version of it. However, it really had no place on the album and kind of kills the flow of it. I just wish the guitars were much beefier as they were on the first two releases, "Sirens" and "The Dungeons Are Calling".

That resumes exactly what I think of this album.
