Yep... hard to imagine anyone in parliament saying that nowadays... those were the days... maybe it hints at why he couldn't get elected, though. RIP.

Oddly enough, it seems that this is what many people really want. This ridiculous sentence from the Hliðskjálf review proves it:

I'm not trying to defend Varg, Hliðskjálf or the ideologies themselves, but if you would like to introduce reason and moderation to the Black Metal scene instead of hatred, radicalism and questionable ideologies then it would completely defeat its own purpose. Grab some nice and inoffensive Indie Rock instead and steer clear of BM and all its unsavoury practitioners.

Black metal doesn't have to be just solely about hate. That's just silly to limit an entire genre to one concept. Hate is all that you mean by 'radicalism', i.e., burning churches, and 'questionable ideologies', i.e., racist nationalism.

Snooty Americans thinkin' they're better than everybody else; China shows 'em who's boss. Ignore the source; I could find the original Chinese document but the English translation is 12 pages. The blog's summary is much more succinct and interesting.

yeah, definitely, it's ridiculous. Same goes for organised "real" groups like ISO, though, I would say.
