Brilliant album...

My favourite of theirs, cos it combines the tunes from their early albums with the crazy moods and textures and all round confusingness of later ones.

Good work

Oooooooooooh, good choice Zad. I, too, love this album. Although (and I know I'm probably in the minority) I personally prefer Kid-A to this.

The Tourist might actually be the most tragic sounding rock song I have ever heard. That's one of only a couple songs that have ever actually made me shed a few tears when listening to them.

Definitely not so ^^. Kid A is my favorite Radiohead album as well, although I love every single disc these guys have put out with blind fanboyism. This is the band that truly changed what music meant to me back in my high school days, so they will always hold a lot of nostalgia/meaning for me.

Anyways, this is a classic album by a brilliant band.

I haven't listened to their other stuff enough to really make an informed judgement (although I do like it a bit more than Kid A, sorry guys), but I know an excellent album when I hear it. I hate it when bands attract criticism purely because of the praise they have deservingly bestowed upon them (Opeth come to mind, but obviously the list could go on and on). A near-masterpiece indeed, great review Zad.

Because if you listen to metal that's the only type of music you're allowed to care about.

Hey, if you don't like it don't listen to it, just like anything, but there's a lot of people who are in fact pretty open-minded and like things outside of the wonderful world of metal as well, and this site puts itself ahead of the pack by catering to those people as well as the usual business. This subject has been covered so many times it's getting ridiculous, but whatever...as far as I see it there's no point in complaining, you're not going to stop the reviewers reviewing whatever they want, which is by and large metal anyway (obviously)...just plain and simple, if you don't like it, ignore it, you're not adding anything to the discussion with a comment like that.

I had the largest migraine ever halfway into this album when I heard it originally. I found it grating and boring at the same time. I wanted to snuff it.

5/100

The Bends lords over this, and every other Radiohead album. That album has energy to spare yet is still epic.

Personally, I find this one boring and will probably never listen to anything from it again unless it happens to come on the radio.

Gonna have to disagree with you on that ^^. The Bends is great, like everything Radiohead does, but it doesn't beat this album let alone all of them.

Agreed, not even close IMO. This is a lot more inventive and dramatic I would say. Better tunes, as well, despite how experimental it is.

Never cared much for Radiohead, particularly the stuff after this album, but this was pretty good.

Lol. It seems like people just join this website to complain about the diversity on this site.
As for Radiohead, I've always been a fan.
