These guys have been my favourite band for a couple years and by far the best band to have come from Victoria. I can see why this is considered their masterpiece since it's got a healthy dose of punk with a tiny bit of the more drawn out, repetitive stuff they started doing on later albums. Personally I like their albums with Tom Holliston more though.

Great album and definitely deserved a mention here. Could be regarded as a classic if this was a punk site. They still do deserve credit for their influence on metal though.

Was surprised to see this one reviewed! Nice write-up too :)

I've listened to about half their output .. my favorite would be The Worldhood of the World (As Such), but this one is great as well. 0+2=1 has some genius moments, but isn't as consistent as either overall.

Glad to see my favorite band and some of my favorite people in the world getting a little bit of love on this site. Full disclosure: I went from a big fan to ultimately being a roadie/webmaster for them and obviously love seeing their music get praised.

For the metal fans, it might interest people to learn their latest studio material is being recorded by Paul Forgues, who was a studio engineer on Slayer's God Hates Us All and has worked with a lot of acts over the years. The guy is...astounding. He makes good bands sound great.

Anyhow, I'm in agreement with noodles about the Tom Holliston era being highly enjoyable. However, for the NMN fanbase, Wrong is still unquestionably the favorite by consensus. "Oh No Bruno" and "Two Lips, Two Lungs and One Tongue" are rampaging beasts of songs. I liked the review stating Darkthrone can't touch it.

Good review, glad to see others appreciate NMN.

Back to lurking!
