Fuck it, I give up. Although an Arctic Monkeys review here would be sweet. I'll take Whatever People Say I Am and you can have Favourite Worst Nightmare.

Hey, I got the Rob Zombie finished, didn't I? Gimme a break. It's not my fault most new metal isn't as interesting as most new indie.

One could wonder why you applied to be a reviewer at METAL reviews with that frame of mind...

Nah, I'm mostly joking. What happened was that I discovered I really liked a bunch of non-metal stuff like britpop and indie, and went on this massive binge, probably overcompensating for listening to only metal for 4 years. Anyway, I still love Metal, I still love writing about it, but I just don't listen to it as much as I used to.

In my opinion, that makes you an even more credible reviewer. I'm always a little suspicious at those who only listen to metal...

Well thanks for that ^^ Although you might've said something different had you read my Paramore review :P

I didn't say that made you a person of good taste... :P Just that it gave you a wider perspective on music in general and metal as it is what concerns us here...

There's no way a person can give an album a fair and thorough review in half a week.

If it's a Paramore album, one spin should suffice...

Well, I personally doubt the validity of any review given after only a few days of listening.

So that's every review written for a magazine or newspaper ever, then. How the fuck do you think it works? You should be more than capable of listening to an album a few times and then writing about it for 400 words. Or can we only truly assess the impact of an album 30 years after its release, in which case, why the fuck did you join a site asking for two reviews a week?

:( I'm not saying 30 years later, come on, don't inflate this. Shortly after joining I found that often I'd form an opinion about an album, and then a few weeks later it would be completely reversed. So now I'm very hesitant about making rushed judgements. If you're worried about the output level, however, that's changing for the better here.

That doesn't suggest that you're a very confident person, or that you have any ability to become involved in any intellectual way in what you're listening to. Fine, numberal scores may change +/- 10, but to completely reverse your opinion of an album? The output level generally is improving around here because I just brought six, possibly seven new people in - you've done eighteen reviews since joining the site in September last year, which works out at 1.8 reviews a month. What was that about your output level? Oh, if you mean that we only have to wait 1.5 months between reviews from you now, rather than 2, then yeah, ok, your output is increasing. At this rate, you'll be doing 2 a week come 2015!

Well, for example, you realize that an album becomes boring after a few weeks, because the substance in the songs isn't quite present. Or things like that.

Look, I'm not trying to defend myself, I know I've had a much lower output level compared to the rest of you. But the stuff I do write is good, and I do care about it, and that's better than nothing. I also care enough about this site to realize when more is needed of me, and I WILL increase my output rate exponentially.
