If you crave more of the blackened type of viking metal, you should also check out albums from Forefather....especially "Ours is the Kingdom." Great great music......I believe "Deep into Time" was just reviewed a bit ago.

I'll have to check out this album...sounds right up my alley. Thanks for the review.

I might need to check this out.While I don't have a problem with "happy" viking metal,I prefer the more serious stuff along the lines of Enslaved.

Same with me really. The only light-hearted moment on this album is at the end of the last track where it gets oddly bouncy. It sort of comes out of nowhere and is a pleasant surprise in my opinion.

Drats, should've mentioned that in the review!
