The way he posts a bands name in bold-faced accompanied by a brief description / reason for liking captioned beneath the .jpg of an album is exactly what Stefan did as well... if warf says he is not Stefan, I take a man at his word until given a reason not to, but it is damned coincidental.

I've been thinking the same thing since he joined.

I was more talking about "bands representing today that will be remembered and given credit like Pink Floyd or whatever" point. Radio has always sucked, so I'm not surprised that it still sucks, but bands like Nickelback will never be held in the same esteem as Pink Floyd. They'll be remembered more along the lines of, like you said, Poison or some other shitty glam band, except it's just post-grunge instead of glam.

My bad.

Nah, I think like Mars Volta or some other credible rock bands I wouldn't know anything about will get their due on the radio ala Floyd.

We'll see though.

edit - maybe not football, I just went back and checked.

It is possible for non-Americans to be into American sports, as zany an idea as that sounds.

Basketball is not only an american sport. I'm european and I like basketball.

From memory, basketball is pretty big in certain parts of Europe. I know it's popular back in Croatia where I'm from and there's been a couple of NBA players from Croatia in the past.

This thread is now about cool songs that are on the radios. Partly because I want to be hip to what the cool kids are listening to and partly 'cause I rly like these two

Janelle Monae - Tightrope

B.o.B - Airplanes

The chorus is super catchy, but all the rapping blows.

I think they did the write thing by starting the song off with the chorus because it carries over to the rapping and makes it enjoyable too.

I posted this in another thread, but this is my favorite pop song evah:

http://vimeo.com/10227646

It blows my mind how good that song is, especially for dancin.

Also, my fav rap song of the moment:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JIHZqFju58g

Beat=ridicidonk. Lyrics are good too...I dunno if either are/were on the radio but I really like both...
