That one has always been a mild disappointment for me. Emphasis on the mild, but still a disappointment.

The first couple of spins I loved it boundlessly, then the realisation sunk in that it wasn't anywhere near as timeless as their older stuff. I guess I did myself no favours by listening to By Inheritance a lot in the lead-up to its release.

I still really like the album. One of the better thrash releases from last year, in fact. It's just less unique than those albums which previously carried the Artillery name.

I heard 2 songs on youtube a while back, and they really did nothing for me. I really just bought this for collection purposes.

I'm on a traditional metal phase. Can you tell?

Where do you shop?

Well, I live in Australia, and normally I shop at a wonderful, wonderful chain of stores called JB HI-FI. They have an absolutely enormous range of music (and dvds) at every store, but some stores are better for heavy metal than others.

However, this set of purchases I did on Amazon.

If something is in print in Australia, a JB somewhere will probably have it. But a lot of stuff never gets an official australian release, and so I compile small lists of stuff I know I can't get here, and when I get a few on the list, I make an amazon order.

EDIT: JB actually does get a lot of imports from Europe and the U.S. but because of the cost of doing so, they normally only get 1 or 2 copies of whatever disc they're importing, so they disappear quickly. The only reason I use Amazon instead of getting JB to order it for me is that I find Amazon delivers quicker.

Words that go unspoken, deeds that go undone is one of the best death metal albums I've ever heard, that album will absolutely not disappoint you, excellent choice

I heard the first track from that Akercocke album and had to pick up the pieces of my skull from the floor. I'm expecting good things.

Yeah. It is a great album. Virtually no filler.

Nevermore - Obsidian Conspiracy - it came in a daft box with postcards. Yay I can send my grandmother postcards. Go figure. I prefer simple jewel case CD's and not overpackaged shit.

It's the risk with ordering CD's.

Yeah. Not a big fan of these. I buy CD's to listen to music and not to have daft poor quality packaging with useless extras.
